Semple Big Boss Protein Feeder System
The “Big Boss” feeder is the top of the line in on-demand wildlife feeder. While any type grain or feed can be used, its design is probably best suited for protein supplement feeding. Several factors make this feeder different and superior to other feeders in the marketplace. The main container is made from stainless steel and holds 1800 lbs. of feed. The framework is made from 4 inch angle. The downspout mechanism is made from heavy gauge steel plate and provides four feeding stations. There is a removable bottom plate on the downspout to facilitate emptying the feeder or clearing obstructions should they occur.
The feeder weighs approximately 1000 lbs. empty. It has built in fork lift slots to enable moving and handling. This all metal feeder, like all of our products, is designed and constructed to last a lifetime.
MSRP: $1600.00
Semple Crank-em-Up Protein Feeder System
This protein feeder system is a demand type feeder system for deer and exotics and provides the ability to increase both body weight and antler growth. They are all metal units designed and constructed to last a lifetime. The system consists of two units, each of which is sold separately.
"Crank-em-Up Protein Feeder"
The feeder is based on a 55 gallon drum with a lifting bridle. The internal funnel is heavy gauge galvanized steel. The feed delivery system is 4-inch square metal tubing welded to a steel base plate that attaches to the barrel. There are four feeding positions and the bottom plate of the delivery tube is removable to allow for emptying the feeder or removing any obstructions (if moisture were to "gum-up" the protein). Our Original WW II US Army Olive Drab flat enamel is used to paint these feeders.
MSRP: $280.00
(with spun metal lid- $300.00)
"Crank-em-Up" Winch Tripod (for Crank-em-Up Protein Feeder)
The tripod units for the protein feeder are made from heavy steel channel, oil well drill pipe and utilize ¼ inch diameter wire rope in the winch and heavy-duty metal pulleys with brass bushings. Three 12 inch long galvanized stakes are included to help secure the tripod legs to the ground. The ease and safety of filling the feeder by lowering it to the ground rather than climbing up a ladder or platform carrying heavy sacks of feed make this system very "user friendly". The tripod is designed to firmly hold the feeder at the right height for feeding and keep the feeder from swinging around with the wind or when bumped. The design also prevents the lid from being blown off by the wind. As with all demand protein feeders a pen must be built to keep livestock away from the feeder. For safety’s sake, always remember that no one should be directly under a feeder, especially when it is being raised or lowered. This unit is very heavy and two people are required to set up the tripod.
MSRP: $350.00
“Quad Pod” Protein Feeder System
Many game feeders are based on a tripod system to elevate the feed bin in the air. The unique design of this inexpensive but rugged protein feeder utilizes 4 legs and provides 4 feeding stations, giving rise to its name: "Quad Pod". As with all Semple Products feeders it is constructed from heavy weight materials. The legs are 1 1/4" diameter schedule 40 steel pipe. These are firmly held in place by set screws to prevent them from accidentally coming off the stub legs during set-up or take down. The reconditioned 55 gallon drum holds approximately 350 pounds of feed. A galvanized metal funnel inside the drum directs the feed to the feeder downspout and prevents the feed from hanging up around the bottom of the barrel and spoiling. The downspout is constructed of heavy gauge steel and welded together. A plate at the bottom of the downspout can be removed for easy emptying of the feeder or clearing out any obstruction that may occur due to excess moisture. The four stub legs are bolted onto the barrel with 5/16" machine bolts and each bolt hole is also sealed with silicone caulk to help keep the inside of the feeder dry.
The "Quad Pod" Protein feeder comes standard with a galvanized spun metal lid. The weight of the spun metal lid holds it in place but it is easy to remove and replace. This is important with any feeder that, like the "Quad Pod", remains elevated while being filled. The top of the barrel is just under 8 feet off the ground and can usually be reached fairly easily from the tailgate of a pickup. The feeder is painted with our Original WW II US Army Olive Drab oil based flat enamel. Included with the "Quad Pod" are four 12' long galvanized stakes to secure the bottoms of the legs to the ground.
MSRP $300.00 (with spun metal lid, as pictured)
"Bale Boss" Protein Feeder System
The "Bale Boss" feeder is a demand type protein feeder for deer and exotics (and domestic stock as well) that provides protein in the form of hay in small square bales. During the hard times of late fall, winter and early spring when deer are most in need of supplemental feeding, it is hard to imagine anything better than high quality alfalfa. As with all hay, the amount of protein can vary, but good hay can provide significant amounts of protein. This feeder is designed to keep the hay dry and off the ground where it can be trampled by the game and ruined. Another advantage of providing protein to the animals this way is that, unlike protein pellets, raccoons and other varmints are not known to eat hay. This allows you to make sure that your dollar spent feeding deer actually gets to deer. As with all demand feeders, a pen must be built around the feeder if domestic livestock are grazing on your land.
MSRP $180.00 (with regular lid, as pictured)
MSRP $200.00 (with spun metal lid)
